The area: Online Sales and Operations, Online Sales Group

The Online Sales Group (OSG) team keeps Google growing and profitable. We are dedicated to supporting the company's expanding base of advertisers, publishers and users in more than 40 languages on a global basis, and providing them with the highest levels of service. We are responsible for supporting customers and generating revenue from a broad range of products such as AdWords, AdSense, Gmail and Google Earth. This means that OSG team members need to be proactive, motivated, organized, responsible - and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The role: Lead Account Executive, Google Affiliate Network

As a Lead Account Executive on the Google Affiliate Network Team, you will be responsible for negotiating and selling our affiliate marketing solutions to medium to large businesses (Fortune 1000). You will work with the VP Commerce/VP Marketing/Director level, which requires strong relationship building at the onset to develop account opportunities, define products to meet the account...s needs, and sell/close product packages to meet their business goals. You will also interface with product teams to define new product offerings and work with management on sales strategy. New business development is the primary focus and you will demonstrate to our prospects the value of switching to the Google Affiliate Network.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and cultivate new opportunities from the sales pipeline. Meet monthly, quarterly and annual revenue/bookings goals according to sales plan.
* Assess potential business deals, negotiate favorable terms, and acquire prospect commitment. Construct deals within selling guidelines (product offering, pricing, etc.).
* Develop a thorough understanding of assigned target industries and Company's competitive advantages.
* Listen to, identify and understand prospects' viewpoint and tailor communication to meet prospect needs and expectations. Communicate ongoing contact/sales activities through Pipeline and Call Reports.
* Assist your manager in defining and identifying potential sales targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Business. In lieu of degree, 8 years of relevant experience.
* 4 years online sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Superior strategic selling skills and the ability to provide multiple examples of success in selling large scale solutions to Fortune 500 clients.
* Strong research, analytic, presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills and the ability to create persuasive presentations for prospective clients.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem solving tools with a "can do" attitude.
* Ability to partner collaboratively with other functional areas with the company in support of the sales process.
* Ability to work within a highly collaborative team environment.
* Ability to travel approximately 50%.
