A rep says the credits for taking a survey will range from $0.25 to $1. Movies on Google Play start at $0.99. The credits will be deposited into users' accounts.
Meanwhile, Google's pitch to advertisers is that it has the demographic data to target the right customers and using the survey "you can ask what really matters to your business." Advertisers can also get their results in days.
Google introduced Consumer Surveys last March. The surveys have been used by Lucky Brand Jeans, King Arthur Flour and others to gauge reactions for proposed products and ideas.
Previously, a Google rep stated, users who completed surveys got "access to online content" — articles instead of Google Play credits. Google claims it has paid millions of dollars to publishers that use the surveys.
